Microsoft Launches Lumia 535 with 5” Display plus 5MP Front and Rear Camera

Prior to the successful acquisition of the world renowned strongest and durable phone brand; Nokia,  Microsoft finally launched a Nokia Lumia series labelled Microsoft Lumia 535 - a Windows Phones. The first handset to omit the Nokia name is the new and already leaked Microsoft Lumia 535, an entry-level device with two standout features: A 5-inch display and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It will reach the targeted markets like Russia, India, China and other parts of Asia this month in single or dual-SIM variants. It's also coming to Europe, sometime in the future.

Microsoft says it's been designed as an alternative to the smaller Lumia 530, to be an affordable smartphone that has a decent-sized screen and better front camera- a perfect phone for selfie addicts on a budget.

Talking about the specs, Microsoft Lumia 535 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU along with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in memory, expandable using a microSD card and a 1,905mAh battery. The handset sports a 5” IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels(qHD) resolution with enhanced sunlight readability and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The front-facing 5-megapixel camera includes a wide-angle lens with a 24mm focal length, just like the Lumia 730/735. The main camera is also a 5-megapixel affair, with an LED flash.

The handset runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim and offers free access to the usual set of Microsoft services. The device measures 140.2 x 72.4 x 8.8mm in size and weights 146 grams. The handset's design follows the typical Lumia formula, boasting a matte or gloss plastic back, rounded sides and softened corners with several color options like, Green, cyan, orange, black and white.
