Stone
Temple Consulting Corporation compared and analyzed the best virtual
mobile assistants to find which was better: Apple's Siri, Google Search
(or Google Now), or Microsoft's Cortana. As all three services show
brilliant and improving artificial intelligence system the future
results may change- But now the Google Now topped the study to become
the best among the best virtual mobile assistants (May be for Now!).
"As of October 4, Google Now has a clear lead in terms of the sheer volume of queries addressed, and more complete accuracy with its queries than either Siri or Cortana. All three parties will keep investing in this type of technology, but the cold hard facts are that Google is progressing the fastest on all fronts"

The
study compared all three platforms through 3,086 queries, designed to
trigger certain answers from the three artificial intelligences-
referred it as "knowledge box" - asking questions like how many quarts
are in a gallon?, Why are fire trucks red?, Why is the sky blue?, How
old is the Colosseum and so on.
According
to the firm, Google Now returns twice as many results as Apple's Siri
service, and three times compared to Cortana. The study revealed that
Google Now could present more information, along with supplementary
details and links to other topics. For example, if you ask Google how
tall the Eiffel Tower is, you will learn the exact height and a little
more about other tall skyscrapers. Siri on the other hand would send you
directly to Wikipedia search. Sometimes it may even respond in a
humorous manner. In regards to fun, Siri is a great service, but
information-wise, Google Now takes it by more than twice fold. Cortana
will gather information from different sources but it won't always
answer correctly.
"This is clear evidence that Google is much further down the path with this type of work than either Apple or Cortana," Stone Temple's Eric Enge wrote.
